- Morning (Arrival): Arrive at Guwahati Airport (GAU) or a railway station near Kaziranga (e.g., Furkating Junction or Nagaon). You will be met by a driver who will transfer you to your accommodation near Kaziranga (Kohora area is the most central and has many options). The drive from Guwahati is approximately 4-5 hours.
- Afternoon: Check into your hotel or resort and freshen up.
- Late Afternoon: Embark on your first Jeep Safari into the Central Zone (Kohora). This zone is known for its high density of rhinos and offers good chances of spotting them along with other wildlife like wild buffaloes, swamp deer, hog deer, and various bird species.
- Evening: Return to your accommodation. You can enjoy a local Assamese dinner and relax.

- Morning (Early): Opt for an Elephant Safari in either the Central (Kohora) or Western (Bagori) zone. Elephant safaris typically start early morning and last for about an hour. They provide an excellent opportunity for close-range rhino sightings and offer a unique perspective of the grasslands.
- Late Morning: After the elephant safari, have breakfast at your accommodation.
- Afternoon: Embark on a Jeep Safari into the Eastern Zone (Agoratoli). This zone is known for its scenic landscapes, water bodies, and a good chance of spotting various migratory birds, especially during the winter months. You might also see rhinos and other mammals.
- Evening: Return to your accommodation. You can watch a cultural performance (if available) or enjoy a quiet evening.
- Morning: After breakfast, check out from your accommodation.
- Explore the Northern Zone (Burapahar): Take a Jeep Safari into the Northern Zone (Burapahar). This zone offers a different terrain with hillocks and forested areas. It's known for its scenic beauty and chances of spotting hoolock gibbons (India's only ape) and other primates, along with rhinos and elephants.
- Afternoon: Have lunch at a local restaurant near the park or on your way back.
- Departure: Begin your journey back to Guwahati Airport (GAU) or the railway station for your onward travel. Allow ample time for the drive.
- Book well in advance: Permits and elephant rides are limited and get booked quickly, especially during peak season (November to March).
- Carry identification: You will need to present ID proof during booking and at the park entrance.
- Wear comfortable, neutral-colored clothing: This helps you blend in with the environment.
- Carry essentials: Binoculars (essential for wildlife viewing), camera with good zoom, insect repellent, water, hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. In winter, carry warm clothing as mornings and evenings can be chilly.
- Respect wildlife: Maintain a safe distance, do not make loud noises, and do not try to feed the animals.
- Listen to your guide: They are experienced and know the best areas for sightings and the park rules.
